What’s the role?

As a senior member of our team, we need you to lead, guide, plan, explain, working alongside clients and other agency disciplines, cracking problems with a mix of technical expertise and innovative thinking. As part of our team you’ll be responsible for developing cutting-edge digital solutions. You'll have the chance to work with some of the best developers, UX designers and strategists in the business, using digital to shape the future of how we live, work and play.
 

Where is it?

Based in our airy and bustling offices in Clerkenwell, London, with its legendary coffee machine and model train track, you’ll also have a chance to work with clients throughout Europe and beyond.


And the hours?

Many of us work part-time, partly from home or flexible hours. Just ask.

Responsibilities

  • Work with outstanding talent across disciplines to innovate and solve some of the most exciting problems for our clients.
  • Work with team leaders to develop product and design specs for the components you’ll be working on as part of any new build.
  • Own design, implementation, and testing for the system for those components.
  • Take the lead on estimates, plans and managing the development of integration solutions.
  • Implements and unit-tests middleware components, then executes end-to-end integration tests, alongside the development teams.
  • Going beyond standard duties and responsibilities to champion small details, spot opportunities and add extra value for our clients.

Requirements

About you

Overall, you’re an ideas person and problem solver as well as a hands-on doer – that’s important. And you know it takes a mix of people to do amazing work, so you love collaborating with and learning from people with different skills, backgrounds and perspectives. If you have an interesting or unusual mix of skills yourself, even better.

A good graduate degree (First or Upper Second) is a must, along with the right to live and work in the UK.


You’ll also have

  • Experience of designing and developing integration solutions (ESB/middleware and SOAP/REST Web Services).
  • Experience working with common enterprise integration patterns.  
  • Significant experience with one or more of the following: TIBCO BusinessWorks, IBM ESB/BPM, webMethods ESB, Oracle Fusion Middleware SOA/BPM, JBoss Fuse ESB, Mule ESB, Talend ESB, custom-developed REST APIs (e.g. Java, Node.js). 
  • Experience working in development teams using agile development methods and supporting tools such as Scrum and JIRA.  
  • Ability to influence others to solve complex business, technical or project approach problems.
  • Drive and determination to continually learn new things and develop yourself into a world class developer.  
  • Experience with defining business process and data models (UML, BPMN).  
  • Experience of build and test automation and continuous integration.  
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Objective-C, C#, iOS SDK, Android SDK, other mobile SDKs.
