We are looking for are for market facing experienced digital professionals, with substantial experience and the ability to work with clients from vision through to delivery.  You may already be with an Agency, a Consultancy, or in Industry.  You will deliver complex projects and identify, generate and deliver sales opportunities through developing and maintaining client relationships and demonstrating how we can add value and innovation to their business.  Successful candidates will have a broad range of expertise and be able to articulate and deliver different Digital propositions to our target markets.

At the senior manager/director level, successful candidates will be required to own a portfolio of clients within their sector to either maintain and expand existing relationships, or work with the firm’s networks to open up new relationships and identify opportunities.  Responsibilities include this market-building aspect, but the successful candidate will also be responsible for the high quality delivery of engagements, typically leading junior resources as part of a wider team.

As part of Deloitte’s Financial Services team you will assist clients working on significant innovative challenges within the sector, which covers Banking and Securities, Insurance and Asset Management and Market Infrastructure.  You will be key in helping shape the solutions for our clients and the industry as a whole.  Being able to think innovatively is essential where your thought leadership can help to drive change and innovation both within Deloitte Digital and for our clients.

Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated people to provide leadership roles in our digital advisory team with a proven track record selling and leading delivery teams in complex delivery programmes throughout all stages of the engagement lifecycle.  You should have deep industry knowledge and experience of delivering digital solutions in Financial Services, Public Sector, or the Private Sector.

You will have responsibility for:

  • Working as part of the leadership team building the Deloitte Digital Edinburgh Studio.
  • Carrying a sales and delivery target as part of an established account structure.
  • Developing broader relationships across the industry.
  • Leading an area of FS industry specialism, using a proven track record in your industry.
  • Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies. 
  • Managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training and defining support procedures.
  • Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients
  •  Organise and lead pursuit teams, participating and leading aspects of the proposal development process, and contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
  • Perform role of counsellor and coach, providing input and guidance into the staffing process and actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities.
  • Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff and have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams, and the strategies to overcome them.
  • Have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.

Requirements

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Experience of leading sales and delivery engagements with clients.
  • Experience of working with senior clients to develop relationships that enable you to help with their most challenging problems.
  • A track record of a structured approach to account management or working within an account management structure.
  • Industry knowledge of trends in that industry and how digital solutions are changing or have the potential to transform current models of business.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other team members and clients, providing leadership and vision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience of working with development teams to deliver bespoke solutions using agile development methods.
  • Experience and skill at delivering large and complex delivery programmes.
  • Right to live and work in the UK, and to work across Europe
  • A willingness to travel and work across the UK and Europe
  • A good graduate degree (1st or Upper Second) from a reputable university, or a track record of experience that demonstrates capability and credibility at a comparable level
