eCommerce Developers are responsible for the analysis, design, documentation, and programming of eCommerce solutions. This is a highly collaborative role working closely with both external clients and internal, cross-functional teams on projects. eCommerce developers use advanced communication skills to facilitate dialogue between internal and external clients and teams, as well as communication of technical information, functionality, and limitations to non-technical teams. We have a range of opportunities for individuals from 2 to 20 years of experience and have openings for Junior Developers, Developers, Senior Developers and Technical Leads.


  • Liaise with Business Analysts to interpret business requirements and create high quality agile technical specifications
  • Write product specifications and design documentation for system components. Organise review and/or release of documentation when required
  • Assumes responsibility for estimating and planning the delivery of significant components of eCommerce solutions, under the supervision of an engagement/project manager
  • Defines design and development standards adapted to the project context
  • Develop software components that meet the quality and architectural standards agreed for the team, including the documentation and implementation of unit tests, scripts and test harnesses
  • Demonstrate or present delivered functionality to Deloitte and/or client teams
  • Work across the entire delivery lifecycle, including the identification and resolution of software defects during test execution phases
  • Support effective configuration and release management of software delivered
  • Initiates communication with members of other teams and other members of development to ensure effective implementation


  • Has delivered at least one eCommerce solution, through to deployment and go-live, preferably in an agile development team
  • Experience of design & implementation of market leading packages in the following functional areas:
    • Commerce (hybris)
  • A good graduate degree (1st or Upper Second) combined with post-graduate experience in consulting or industry
  • Experience and understanding of agile delivery processes
  • Experience with continuous integration and automated testing tools
  • The right to live and work in the UK

    • Product information management (hybris, Heiler, Stibo or similar)
