What’s next for second screen experiences?

Most of the news has been about the diversion of eyeballs away from the main screen (i.e., the TV) by social media and the web, and the impact this could be having on the effectiveness of linear TV advertising. I recently attended the launch of Stylus Fashion, a new arm of Stylus Media Group, a company that analyses how consumer lifestyle trends impact product design and consumer engagement. Despite standing out like a sore thumb alongside some of the biggest names in fashion, I took particular interest in the presentation titled “Reaching the connected consumer”. Highly relevant to our work in the Retail sector, the presentation focused on Gen Y (20-33 years old) and Gen Z (5-19 years old) consumers.
